Some actions cannot be seen. But they change everything.

Research and prevention to protect the environment, animals, and our health.

Every environmental cleanup is a necessary gesture. But it is also the sign of a damage that has already occurred.

That is why we want to do more. We want to intervene before plastic reaches the environment, protect the animals affected by it, and understand what effects it may have on our health.

Special Projects stem from this: the desire to take care of what we love before it is too late.

You can help us turn research, prevention, and care into concrete action.

Choose the project closest to your heart. And help us make a difference.

Cleanup

Special projects

Three fronts, one single goal.

Each project acts at a different stage: before plastic reaches the environment, when it has already done damage, and where we still don't know enough.

We raise awareness among students to prevent further environmental disasters and transform schools into Plastic Free places.

During our sessions, customized by age group, we talk about the importance of loving the Planet by not polluting it, the value of waste separation, and concrete alternatives to plastic.

Where conditions permit, thanks to the support of companies and donations, we purchase and donate water purifiers: every student can fill their reusable bottle for free, avoiding single-use plastic bottles.

The goals

  • Raise awareness to prevent future environmental disasters
  • Reduce plastic use inside and outside school
  • Transform every school into a Plastic Free place

Every year over 40,000 sea turtles die due to human neglect. Since 2020, we rescue those in distress, treat them, rehabilitate them, and release them back into the sea.

Your contribution covers the rescue center expenses: maintenance of the facility and tanks, medicine, food, veterinary procedures, and nest monitoring along the coast.

Among many stories, the most incredible is that of the turtle rescued with a harpoon stuck in her head. She was operated on, cured, rehabilitated, and finally set free.

Plastic Free's first research project studies the impact of nano- and microplastics on the brain. On this topic, answers do not exist yet.

Thanks to our collaboration with San Raffaele University and IRCCS San Raffaele Roma, and your contribution, we will be able to make progress for everyone's benefit.

Three questions

  • How they enter. How they reach the brain and cross protective barriers.
  • What they alter. How much they modify the ability of neurons to communicate with each other.
  • What they trigger. How they trigger neuroinflammation, which in the long term leads to neurodegenerative diseases.

You are not financing a single activity: you are supporting work that continues all year round, in classrooms, recovery tanks, and laboratories.
