Adriatic LNG and Plastic Free: united for the protection of the sea
A shared commitment that brings together ecosystem conservation, environmental education, and concrete action on the territory.
Guardians of the Sea – A commitment that makes a difference
Protect, educate, restore: the sea is a shared responsibility.
Adriatic LNG supports the removal of 1,000 kg of waste from the Delta del Po coastline, promotes environmental awareness in schools with the distribution of 100 Plastic Free reusable bottles, and contributes to the care and rehabilitation of sea turtles at the Calimera (Lecce) rescue center, accompanying their return to the sea.
The “Guardians of the Sea – 2026” project is the result of the collaboration between Adriatic LNG and Plastic Free Onlus, aiming to protect the marine environment at every level: the species that inhabit it, the coastlines that define it, and the communities that live alongside it.
The initiative includes a team environmental cleanup experience along the beaches between Boccasette and Rosolina, led by our national coordinator Riccardo Mancin, during which 1,000 kg of plastic and waste will be removed from the environment.
Alongside field action, the project also focuses on environmental education through a dedicated session in a local school, promoting the reduction of single-use plastics.
During the activity, 100 customized Plastic Free reusable bottles will be distributed as a symbol of everyday sustainability.
In addition, Adriatic LNG will support the Sea Turtle Rescue Center in Calimera (Lecce) through the symbolic adoption of a sea turtle, following its care, rehabilitation, and final release into the sea.
A complete project that does not stop at raising awareness — it creates change.
